About the Company

DLA Plus is a full-service architecture and interior design firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2008, the firm works across commercial, healthcare, education, and government sectors — delivering design solutions with a strong emphasis on people-centred workplaces. With a lean, distributed team, DLA Plus recognises that employee health and engagement directly shapes the quality of their creative output.

Key Objective

"Our prime aim is to host a Winter Step Challenge for our employees, providing them the opportunity to kick-start 2022 with a healthy and fit regimen."

The Challenge

  • DLA Plus was looking for an online wellness platform to run a step challenge that would motivate employees to start the new year with a healthy routine — and sustain it throughout the year.
  • The HR team needed separate dashboards for organisers and participants to easily track real-time progress throughout the challenge.
  • With a distributed workforce, they required a fully virtual platform that removed time-zone and location constraints, making participation accessible for every employee.

The Approach

  • Vantage Fit powered a step challenge under the campaign name "Step It Up in 2022" — running for 3 weeks from 10th to 30th January 2022.
  • Employees were challenged to walk the most steps over the program duration, with redeemable rewards issued to participants who hit their targets.
  • Both HR administrators and employees got access to a gamified dashboard and leaderboard, giving full transparency on daily step counts and overall standings.
