About the Company

Key Objective

Our prime goal of this event is to provide all employees an opportunity to participate in a wellness program to contribute to the solution of health and well-being issues and improve and support the communities in which we live and work.

The Challenge

  • Cotiviti looked for an inclusive digital platform to carry out an effective wellness campaign and motivate its employees to participate in the same.
  • The admin wanted a real-time HR Dashboard to monitor employee participation accurately.
  • Besides, they desired a separate tool for the employees to keep track of their progress in the challenge.
  • Cotiviti wanted to host a virtual walkathon within reach for every employee across their global geographies, considering the demographic barriers.
  • In addition, HR sought to increase employee engagement by bringing the entire workforce together on a corporate wellness platform.

The Approach

  • Vantage Fit hosted a virtual walkathon under the “Healthy Steps for Caring Hearts” campaign, lasting for a week, starting from 25th October to 31st October 2021.
  • The virtual walkathon required Cotiviti employees to walk a certain amount of steps every day in a week.
  • An HR dashboard was made accessible to the manager to supervise the challenge effectively.
  • The participants were provided with a gamified leaderboard to observe their performance in the campaign, allowing them to maintain accountability of their daily step count.
  • Primarily focusing on walkathon, the contest included other activities for employees to do such as heart rate measuring, weight log in, and water intake.
  • Lastly, the digitized wellness platform removed the biggest hurdle of time-place constraints.

Cotiviti — The Approach

Results

  • Over 540 employees participated in the week-long virtual walkathon.
  • Each participant covered a distance of around 36 km in the entire challenge.
  • All the Cotiviti employees walked a sum of over 19 million steps.
  • Every employee burned 1630 calories on average in one week.
