About the Company

Key Objective

The principal goal of our annual fitness program is to establish a healthy workplace, promoting physical wellbeing amongst the workforce.

The Challenge

  • Employee well-being has been a major concern for businesses in recent years, prompting the creation of a comprehensive wellness program.
  • Allston Trading was seeking an all-in-one virtual wellness platform to hold a step challenge for their 84 employees living in the UK and US.
  • The HR department needed a real-time HR dashboard to measure employee participation and the daily step count.
  • They also desired a separate tracking tool for the participants to keep track of their own progress.
  • Given the demographic challenges, the management sought a flexible digital platform that could be used by any employee at any time and from any location.
  • In order to improve employee engagement, the admin also wanted to start a walkathon program to bring the entire workforce together on a single platform.

The Approach

  • Vantage Fit organised a walkathon challenge as part of the "Healthy Steps for Caring Hearts" program lasting for 4 weeks straight, starting from 4th to 31st October 2021.
  • The virtual marathon, which spanned more than a month, challenged Allston employees to improve their step count with each passing day.
  • The HR admin was able to keep a close eye on the competition owing to the Vantage Fit HR Dashboard.
  • Participants had access to a gamified scoreboard that allowed them to track their daily and weekly step counts in order to improve their performance.
  • Redeemable vantage rewards were received by the employees on completion of the challenge.
  • The place constraints vanished with a digitised wellness platform, enabling the challenge to take place seamlessly all around the world.

Results

  • Over 84 employees registered in the month-long Allston walkathon.
  • A total of 6 million steps were logged by all Allston Trading employees.
  • Each participant walked a distance of around 240 km during the entire challenge.
  • The workforce burned 290 thousand calories collectively in 4 weeks.
