Vantage Fit comes with built-in activities like walking, running, and cycling. But your company may have unique wellness programs that employees want to track. Custom loggable activities let you add those to the app.
What Are Loggable Activities?
Loggable activities are activities that employees can manually log in the app. When they complete the activity, they open the app, select it, and log the duration or details.
Examples of custom loggable activities:
- Office Yoga
- Walking Meetings
- Desk Stretches
- Lunchtime Basketball
- Meditation Sessions
- Stair Climbing
Creating a Custom Loggable Activity
- Log in to the Vantage Fit Admin Dashboard.
- Go to Configuration in the left sidebar.
- Click Activities.
- Select Create Loggable Activity.
- Choose an icon from the available icon library.
- Enter the activity name (e.g., "Office Yoga").
- Save the activity.
The activity is now live and available to all employees in your company.
Where Employees See Custom Activities
Once created, the custom activity appears under the Log Activity options in the employee's app.
- Employee opens the Vantage Fit app.
- Taps the + button or Log Activity.
- Scrolls through the activity list to find the custom activity.
- Logs the activity with the required details.
Using Custom Activities in Challenges
Custom loggable activities can be assigned as tasks within challenges.
For example, if you create a "Walking Meetings" activity, you can:
- Create a Custom challenge with weekly themes.
- Add "Walking Meetings" as a task in one of the themes.
- Employees earn challenge points when they log this activity.
This is a powerful way to encourage specific behaviors that matter to your organization.
Tip: Pair custom activities with challenge points to drive adoption. Employees are far more likely to try a new activity when there are points on the line.
Loggable vs. Adherence Activities
It is important to understand the difference:
| Loggable Activities | Adherence Activities | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Track activities with duration/details | Track habit completion (yes/no) |
| Example | "Office Yoga — 30 minutes" | "Avoided Sugar Today" |
| Where visible | Log Activity section | Plus menu → More section |
| Challenge use | Yes, as tasks | Yes, as tasks |
For adherence (habit tracking) activities, see How Do I Create Adherence Activities?.
Best Practices
- Keep names short and clear. Employees should immediately understand what the activity is.
- Choose recognizable icons. A good icon helps employees find the activity quickly in the list.
- Align with your wellness programs. If you are running a "Move More" month, create activities that support that theme.
- Promote new activities. Send a push notification when you add a new custom activity so employees know to look for it.
