How do I connect my Samsung Watch?

Your Samsung Watch can be selected as your Android step device in Vantage Fit. Connect it from Device Management and make sure your watch is syncing to Samsung Health.

How the Connection Works

This means you need your Samsung Watch paired with your Android phone and syncing to Samsung Health.

How to Connect

  1. Make sure your Samsung Watch is paired with your Android phone and syncing to Samsung Health (this should already be the case if you're using your watch normally)

  2. Make sure Samsung Health is showing your watch data:

    • Open Samsung Health on your phone
    • Confirm your recent steps and workouts appear there
  1. Open Vantage Fit and go to Settings → Device Management

  2. Tap "Samsung Watch""Connect"

  1. Grant the requested Android health permissions
  1. Connection complete — your Samsung Watch is now your selected Android step device

Steps Yes — daily total and hourly breakdown
Workouts Yes — type, duration, distance, calories
Heart rate Yes (if recorded by your watch)
Sleep Yes (if tracked on your Samsung Watch)

When Data Syncs

Your Samsung Watch data follows the Android sync schedule:

When What Happens
When you open Vantage Fit Immediate sync from your selected Android step source
Automatic update Android can update in the background when battery settings allow it
Manual sync Tap Sync from the Plus (+) menu

Note: For the most up-to-date step count, open the Vantage Fit app. If updates seem delayed, check your Android battery settings.

Troubleshooting

Steps from your Samsung Watch not appearing?

  • Open Samsung Health and check that your watch data is there first
  • Open Vantage Fit and confirm Samsung Watch is selected in Device Management
  • Try a manual sync: Plus (+) menu → Sync

Data chain check: Samsung Watch → Samsung Health → Vantage Fit. If data is missing at any step, fix that connection first.
