How Do I Manage My Profile?

Updated May 12, 2026 Employee

Your profile in Vantage Fit holds your personal information, health data, and activity progress. It's the starting point for everything the app calculates — from your BMI to your daily calorie targets. Here's how to view and update it.

Accessing Your Profile

  1. Open the drawer menu (tap the hamburger icon or swipe from the left edge of the screen).
  2. Tap Profile.

You'll see your profile screen with your photo, name, and activity rings showing your current daily progress.

What You Can View and Edit

Profile Picture

Your photo appears across the app — on leaderboards, the social feed, group chats, and your profile card.

To update your photo:

  1. Tap your profile picture (or the camera icon).
  2. Choose to take a new photo with your camera or select from your photo library.
  3. Crop the image to fit — the app provides a cropping tool to frame your photo.
  4. Tap Save or Done.

Your updated photo syncs across the platform, so other users will see the new picture on leaderboards and in chats.

Tip: Choose a clear, well-lit photo — it shows up at small sizes on leaderboards and in chat, so a close-up of your face works best.

Personal Information

The following fields are viewable and editable from your profile:

Field Editable? Notes
Name Yes Your display name across the app
Email Display only Set during registration, cannot be changed by the user
Date of birth Yes Used for BMI and health calculations
Gender Yes Used for health metric calculations
Height Yes Directly affects BMI and calorie targets
Weight Yes Directly affects BMI and calorie targets
City / Location Yes Optional — for regional features

Note: Your email address is shown for reference but cannot be changed from within the app. If your work email has changed, contact your HR admin.

Editing Your Health Profile

Your health profile is the data that drives the app's personalized calculations. To update it:

  1. Go to your Profile.
  2. Tap Edit Health Profile.
  3. This reopens the onboarding flow — the same screens you saw when you first set up the app:
    • DOB + Gender — confirm or update
    • Height — confirm or update
    • Weight — confirm or update
    • BMI — automatically recalculated from your height and weight
    • Fitness Goal — what you're working toward (lose weight, gain muscle, maintain, etc.)
    • Activity Level — how active you are day-to-day (sedentary, lightly active, moderately active, very active)
  4. At the end, your targets are recalculated — daily calorie goals, activity recommendations, and ideal weight range all update based on your new data.

Tip: If you've recently changed your fitness routine or your weight has shifted significantly, re-run the Edit Health Profile flow so your daily targets reflect your current reality.

Activity Rings on Your Profile

Your profile screen shows your activity rings — a visual summary of your daily progress across your active metrics (steps, calories, distance, etc.). These are the same rings you see on summary page, giving you a quick snapshot without navigating back to the home screen.

What Changes When You Update

Updating your health data has real downstream effects:

What You Update What Changes
Height or weight BMI is recalculated, ideal weight range updates
Weight Calorie targets adjust, wellness metrics update
Fitness goal Daily calorie and activity recommendations change
Activity level Calorie burn estimates and targets are recalibrated
DOB or gender Health metric calculations (daily calorie target, BMI ranges) update

All changes take effect immediately — summary page, challenges, and health section will reflect the new data right away.
